Fewer than 50% of employees opt-in to Wal-Mart’s healthcare program because it is too expensive and inaccessible. As a result, individuals and families are forced to enroll in Medicaid. This “Wal-Mart tax” places a huge burden on taxpayers and families, at a time when health care costs are already so high. Write a letter to your local newspaper, demanding the disclosure of companies with the most employees in their state- funded health care program. |
