The mayor of Tupper Lake, New York has sent a letter to Wal-Mart CEO Lee Scott asking the retail giant to build a massive supercenter there.

But Wal-Mart is not the kind of sustainable development this Adirondack Mountain community needs. It would pollute the local environment and spoil the natural surroundings.

Write to the town officials and help Tupper Lake residents keep Wal-Mart out.
