Make Maryland Count
The recent victory in Maryland dealt a crushing blow to Wal-Mart and their policies of corporate greed -- but it's only the beginning.
It is simply unacceptable that America's largest employer -- a company with annual profits of $10 billion -- has a health care plan that covers less than half its employees nationwide.
Now we're taking the fight nationwide. Put your state's leaders on notice that you support reform measures to hold Wal-Mart accountable -- and will back that it up with action when the time comes.
I support legislation to require my state's largest employers to meet minimal standards for health care expenditures -- and I am prepared to do what it takes to make that a reality.
